CHERI + Safety Working Group

Many industries, such as automotive, avionics and medical devices, have strict safety and certification requirements. The CHERI + Safety working group explores how capability-based security can be integrated into safety-critical systems and how CHERI interacts with standards like ISO 26262 and DO‑178C. Members share approaches to formal verification, certification and tooling, building on the general principles established by other CHERI working groups【836580014068630†L152-L156】【836580014068630†L162-L250】. This group welcomes safety engineers, certification bodies and regulatory experts.
